MY FAVORITE RESOURCE!! http://www.cultureofsafety.com/wilderness/horseback-riding-safety/ I love this resources because its the basics of what every rider needs to know. It has everything from facts to prevention techniques to liability laws. This website covers all the basics and has great information.
This data source is from the American Medical Equestrian association. (https://asci.uvm.edu/equine/law/amea/apr93nws.htm) It talks about the most common injuries for equestrians. This source is great for research assignment.
